Dein Team
Als Senior Platform Engineer bist du gemeinsam mit dem Platform Engineering Team für die Unterstützung und Weiterentwicklung der digitalen Platform verantwortlich, die wir unseren Kunden und internen Entwicklungsteams zu Verfügung stellen.
Deine Aufgaben bei Gini
  • Du agierst als Experte im Platform Team, unterstützt bei der Priorisierung von Aufgaben und trägst zu einer tollen Arbeitsatmosphäre bei
  • Du übernimmst Verantwortung für Plattform-Engineering Themen und definierst deren Fortschritt mit realen Zielen
  • Du arbeitest eng mit Entwicklungsteams, externen Lieferanten und Kunden zusammen, um deren Anforderungen an unsere digitale Plattform zu unterstützen und umzusetzen
  • Du identifizierst, recherchierst und implementierst PoCs für neue Technologien, von der die digitale Plattform zukünftig profitiert
  • Du handelst als unternehmensweiter Experte für alle Komponenten, welche die digitale Plattform von Gini ausmachen
  • Du verantwortest alle operationalen Prozesse, protokollierst Incidents und stellst die Business Continuity sicher
Dein Profil, um erfolgreich zu sein
  • Du bringst 5+ Jahre Erfahrung als Platform Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, Devops Engineer, Automation Engineer, Linux Systems Engineer oder ähnlichen Rollen
  • Du bringst tiefe Kenntnisse in Linux, fundiertes Wissen in Kernel Konzepten (Namespaces, CGroups) und 2+ Jahre Arbeitserfahrung in bare-metal Kubernetes und Cloud mit
  • Du hast ein fortgeschrittenes Verständnis von Netzwerk-Routing-Konzepten wie bspw. BGP
  • Du verfügst über ein tiefes Verständnis bezüglich Entwicklung, Betrieb und Lebenszyklus von Softwareprodukten und hast solide Kenntnisse in der Architektur und dem Entwurf verteilter Systeme
  • Du beteiligst dich an den wöchentlich wechselnden On-Call-Rotation in einer sehr stabilen Umgebung
  • Du bringst fundierte Erfahrungen mit operationalen Prozessen und Business Continuity Management mit und weißt, wie Incidents ordnungsgemäß protokolliert werden
  • Du fühlst wohl in einem agilen Team zu arbeiten und bist motiviert die Zukunft unserer Plattform mitzugestalten
  • Du sprichst fließend Englisch im Businesskontext, in Wort und Schrift

Your Team
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for working with the Platform Engineering team to support and evolve the digital platform we provide to our customers and internal development teams.
Your playing field at Gini
  • You act as an expert in the platform team, support the prioritization of tasks and contribute to a great working atmosphere
  • You take responsibility for platform engineering/OPS topics and define their progress with actual goals
  • You work closely with development teams, external vendors and customers to support and implement their requirements for our digital platform
  • You identify, research, and implement PoCs for novel technologies that might benefit Gini's digital platform going forward
  • You act as the company-wide expert for all components that comprise Gini’s digital platform
  • You are responsible for all operational processes, log incidents, and ensure business continuity
Skills to be successful
  • You have 5+ years of experience in the role of a Platform Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Automation Engineer, Linux Systems Engineer or similar
  • You bring deep knowledge of Linux, in-depth knowledge of kernel concepts (namespaces, CGroups), and 2+ years of working experience in bare-metal Kubernetes and cloud
  • You have an advanced understanding of network routing concepts like BGP
  • You have a strong understanding of the lifecycle of software products and how they are developed and operated (also the architecture and design of distributed systems)
  • You are willing to do bi-weekly shifts of on-call-rotation in a stable and low-volume environment
  • You have in-depth experience with operational processes and business continuity management and incidents are properly logged 
  • You feel comfortable working in an agile team and you are motivated to shape the future of our platform
  • You communicate fluently in written and spoken English in a business environment
